Match: Manchester City v Manchester United

Manchester City v Manchester United

Manchester United are three points clear of their local rivals ahead of this huge game. The United coach, Alex Ferguson, has said this is the biggest local derby for 25 years. If United draw this match they should go on to win the title for the 20th time. However, if City win they will then be league leaders due to a superior goal difference. United have a vast amount of experience in these crucial games while for most City players this will be their first involvement in a game of this magnitude. The momentum is slightly with City after last weekend’s matches. However, United look capable of securing a significant draw and they are selected to avoid defeat next Monday night.

Match: Wigan v Newcastle

Wigan v Newcastle

This is another crucial game in England which will have a significant bearing on which teams will be relegated and the teams that qualify for next season’s Champions League. As it appeared that Wigan were destined to drop out of the Premier League they have put together a great run which has included beating Arsenal away from home. Newcastle are also a team in form and they have a great opportunity to claim fourth place and qualify for the Champions League. Tottenham are currently on a poor run of form and that means Newcastle have a decent chance to finish above them in the league and claim that last position in the premier club competition in Europe.

Match: Everton v Fulham

Everton v Fulham

Everton’s season has followed a similar pattern over the last few years. They have a poor start and appear to be facing a challenge to avoid relegation. In the New Year they have some excellent wins at home and then put together a decent run towards the end of the season. They maintained the current run with a 4-4 draw against Manchester United away from home last weekend. They scored twice in the last ten minutes to secure that draw. Fulham are in a safe mid-table position and will not be relegated this season. Everton always like to play well at home and they will have the greater incentive to win this match and at the odds available they have to be backed.

Match: Malaga v Valencia

Malaga v Valencia

Real Madrid now look almost certain to win the title in Spain this season. They more or less clinched the league by beating Barcelona away from home last weekend. There will have to be a remarkable dip in form if they are not to finish first this season. This match will be key in deciding who finishes third in the league and qualifies for the Champions League. There is only one place and three points separating the sides. Valencia have a slight advantage and they can secure third position by winning this game. They also have a better goal difference than their opponents but that advantage will not be a factor if they win this match as expected.

2 points back Valencia at 3.25.

Match: Kaiserslautern v Borussia Dortmund

Kaiserslautern v Borussia Dortmund

Dortmund have won the league title in Germany this year. They lead Bayern Munich by eight points with just two matches remaining in the current campaign. Kaiserslautern have already been relegated so there is very little riding on this match. The match has been priced on the basis of the contrasting form of both sides. However, any motivation will all be with the home side and mentally this might not be a game that Dortmund will relish. The odds available for a home win are massive even in the context of final league positions and this cannot be ignored as a great betting opportunity.
