Minnesota Wild @ Anaheim Ducks
The Chicago Blackhawks might get all the publicity in the Western Conference, but the Anaheim Ducks have almost been as impressive this season. They will look to take care of a pesky Wild team that has won two in a row themselves heading into Friday’s contest.
Anaheim currently has one of the best offenses in hockey, scoring over 3.5 goals per contest. They are especially solid in front of their home fans, who have shown nice support despite the lockout that occurred earlier this season. The Wild have had their struggles on the road this season, which will make it difficult for them in this one.
The Ducks continue to get a lot of contributions from different players each game, but Ryan Getzlaf has sort of emerged as their key player that keeps the offense going. He has six goals and 15 assists through 18 games, keeping the Ducks within striking distance of Chicago for the best record in the Western Conference.
Take Anaheim to come out victorious in this one. They are playing well each time out, giving themselves a chance to win. They will do enough at home to avoid any type of upset.
Pick: Anaheim Ducks (-188)
