The Los Angeles Clippers took the NBA by storm once they landed All-Star Chris Paul prior to this season. Lob City provided a ton of highlights during the year, and they even won their first round series against the Memphis Grizzlies.
They have simply run into a buzz saw with the San Antonio Spurs. In Game 3, they were up big before blowing the lead and the win. Now they find themselves in a 3-0 hole against one of the most disciplined teams in the NBA.
With all that being said, I still think the Clippers have something left in them. The Spurs are older than the Clippers, and they could very easily look at Game 4 as a game they do not have to play their veterans much. At the Staples Center, I’m surprised that the Spurs are favored by as much as 7.5-points.
I expect a close contest that ends up going in favor of the Clippers. Even if they keep it close and lose, the spread still favors Los Angeles. A lot of pride will be on the line, and I don’t think the Spurs will be at their best. Expect a lower scoring affair and the possibility of one more win for the Clippers in these NBA playoffs.
Pick: Los Angeles Clippers (+7.5), under (190)
